SSI Technologies Expands Pressure Transducers & Transmitter Offerings

Janesville, WI, March 1, 2003 - SSI’s MediaSensor™ family of pressure sensors, transducers and transmitters has recently been expanded to include the M12 4 Pin Micro Connector and the DIN 43650 Micro-mini Connector according to Bill Day, Director of Sales and Marketing.

With this addition SSI now offers four (4) standard interconnection schemes along with custom interconnections. The MediaSensor™ family of product is designed for use in both harsh and benign media and represents a significant cost savings over currently available pressure sensors, transducers, and transmitters.

“These compact, robust sensors are well suited for a variety of automotive, industrial, and commercial applications,” states Day. “They are the result of us responding to customer expectations.” Special features include: Superb accuracy of <0.5%; Robust package comprised of an all-laser-welded stainless steel design for media isolation; Maximum flexibility provided by a custom ASIC which provides signal conditioning for custom alibrations and temperature compensation; Pressure ranges from 15 Psi through 3,000 Psi in absolute, gage and sealed gage formats; Ten (10) standard mechanical connections, and 5 Volt input with 0.5 – 4.5 Volt output; and 8 – 30 Volt input with 4 – 20 mA & 1 - 5 Volt output.
