DIGITAL GAUGES

The Controls Technologies Division of SSI Technologies, Inc.,

is a leading designer and manufacturer of Ultrasonic Liquid Level Sensors, Pressure Sensors, Magnetic Sensors, and Digital Gauges for the automotive, construction, agriculture, heavy truck, marine, sport vehicle, medical, general industrial, test & measurement and other industries. Our engineering and manufacturing facility is located in Janesville, WI.

SSI's Advanced Engineering Group seeks out and develops new control and sensing systems for future applications in the automotive and industrial marketplace.

Liquid Level Sensors

SSI's liquid level sensors are non-contact continuous measurement sensors that use ultrasonic technology to accurately measure liquids in stationary and mobile tanks, storage vessels and drums.

Digital filtering is used to eliminate errors due to slosh and vehicle motion.

SSI uses programmable strapping tables and works with the customer to accommodate unique tank shapes.

Output configurations include both current and programmable voltage range.

Fluid-Trac® level sensors are designed to replace 33 to 240 ohm resistive float senders, reed-switch tube sensors, and capacitive tube senders with measurement ranges up to 32 inches (.85 meters)

Acu-Trac® level sensors are ideal for tanks or storage containers that have a depth of 118 inches (3 meters). They also has real time processing of level data with messaging over a RS-485 bus.

Digital Fluid-Trac™ is a stand alone 9V battery operated non-contact liquid level drum gauge. Digital FluidTrac mounts on top of a 55 gallon drum with a standard 2" NPT thread connector and comes with a 3/4" adapter so that either bung opening can be used.

Pressure Sensors

SSI's pressure sensors use piezoresistive oil-filled technology designed with all laser-welded 304L and 316L stainless steel for optimal media isolation which can be used in a wide variety of chemical and harsh-environment automotive and industrial applications.

MediaSensor™ Absolute, Gage and Sealed pressure transducers and transmitters feature sensor and signal conditioning in the same package with a choice of five standard connectors (harness, Deutsch, Packard, Mini DIN, M12) and a wide variety of standard port configurations.

MediaNugget™ pressure sensors have no signal conditioning and are targeted at low-cost industrial and commercial applications where small size, high-performance and low cost are critical. MediaNugget is also available variety of standard mounting ports or custom designed ports.

Magnetic Sensors

In-production technologies are variable reluctance (VR), Hall Effect (HE) and Magneto resistive Ration (MR)

Discrete sensor or integrated bearing sensor experience

Demonstrated low field warranty with VR

Operating temperature range: -40 to 150 degrees C

Zero-speed capability with MR and HE sensors.

Digital Gauges

MediaGauge™ Digital Pressure Gauges are compact, robust digital gauges that measure pressures from 15 PSI to 5,000 PSI with superb accuracy. The MediaGauge comes standard with several keypad operated functions (multiple pressure unit displays, peak hold and auto zero). The MediaGauge offers several stand alone 9V battery operated digital pressure gages with a LCD display.

SSI also offers a high end MediaGauge digital pressure gauge with a 8-30V input; a LCD display; a 4 to 20 mA current output and a limit switch with two user programmable set points for industrial applications interfacing to monitoring and control systems.
