Non-contact Fluid-trac®
Three Wire Urea Level Sensor are ideal replacements for 33 to 240 ohm resistive float senders, reed-switch tube sensors, and capacitive tube senders in Urea tanks or Adblue tanks.
Adblue is a registered trademark for AUS32 (32.5 wt % strength of urea solution) with high impurity requirements. It is essential that Adblue maintain its high purity in the SCR system. Impurities can clog and damage the catalyst, rendering the SCR ineffective and possibly reduce its life expectancy. Traditional float senders have parts that protrude into the urea / adblue tank.
Urea / adblue is slightly alkaline with a PH of ~ 9.0 and since its composition is 67.5% water it should not be kept in contact with aluminum, brass or mild steel. Resistive float senders need to be constructed of more expensive stainless steel for use inside the urea / adblue tank.
In extremely cold weather, urea / adblue will start freezing at -11.5 degrees C (11.3 degrees F). Traditional resistive float senders tend to get stuck in the frozen urea / adblue and may break the float and/or give inaccurate readings.
