Acu-trac® Smart 485 Gasoline Level Sensor

The Acu-Trac® Smart 485 Gaoline Level Sensor is a non-contact sensor that is a direct replacement for gasoline level senders on tanks with depths up to ≤ 1.9 meters (76 inches)

The Smart 485 Gasoline Level Sensors is specifically calibrated to work with gasoline vapors. Gasoline vapors become denser as the temperature increase which affects the speed of sound calculation in ultrasonic level sensors.

The Gasoline Level Sensor offers a choice of electrical outputs:

  • 4-20 mA current

  • Ratiometric voltage

  • Non-ratiometric voltage

The Gasoline Level Sensor has the additional capability of processing a real time tank volume message

on a RS-485 bus.

The Gasoline level sensor provides the user flexibility to program for tank configuration, digital filtering, gauge drive output full and empty endpoints and communication mode.

  • Calibrated For Gasoline Applications

  • Range (Maximum Tank Depth): 1.9 meters (76 inches)

  • Accuracy: 2 % of tank volume

  • Electrical Output Options: 4-20 mA; Ratiometric Voltage; Non-ratiometric Voltage

  • More Reliable: Acu-Trac® Smart 485 Gasoline Level Sensor is non-contacting. Resistive float sender have a wiper that slides across a resistive strip that with time can wear and cause intermittent or complete loss of the signal.

  • Non-Invasive: Acu-Trac® Smart 485 Gasoline Level Sensor mounts to the same opening as the resistive float sender, but does not protrude into the tank.

  • Digital Filtering: User programmable time constant in digital filtering eliminates errors due to fluids sloshing in mobile tanks.

  • Tank Profiling: User programmable tank capacity, depth, shape, and orientation.

  • Gauge Drive Outputs: User programmable full and empty endpoints

  • RS-485 Messaging: Two types of messages - programming commands and timed data broadcasts

  • Self Test/Diagnostics: Power Up Test verifies sensor is operating properly

  • NEMA 4 Rating
