Non-contact Fluid-trac®
Two Wire Fluid Level Sensor is the ideal choice for waste water ( gray tank or black tank) applications to replace 33 to 240 ohm resistive float senders, reed-switch tube sensors, and capacitive tube senders in both the RV and Marine industries .
Traditional float senders consist of a float attached to an actuating arm with a variable resistor mounted at the end of the rod. The resistive float sender's wiper slides across the resistive material of the potentiometer. The gray tank collects dirty water from the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower. Grease and some dishwashing detergents build up on the resistive float water level sender often causing inaccurate gray tank water level readings.
The black tank is for the toilet. Toilet paper and waste by-products have a tendency to collect on the resistive float water level sender. The buildup causes false black tank level readings on your monitor panel. Float water level senders need to be cleaned either mechanically (manually or with a wide handle spray rinsing systems) or chemically with sensor cleaners. In addition, some float water level senders are susceptible to chemical erosion due to black tank treatments and deodorizers.
